Ten Redmond and Kirkland based businesses will be at the Seattle Home & Garden Show from Feb. 26 to March 6 at the Lumen Field Event Center. The Seattle Home & Garden Show is the nation’s oldest and largest consumer home show, and will highlight the latest products, services, and household trends.

A focus of the 2022 Seattle Home & Garden Show was how the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed home design, including the increase of private spaces to be used for remote work and learning.

The pandemic has also led to an increase in urban gardening and farming, such as raising small farm animals and growing one’s own produce. Additionally, there has been an increase in home recreation and entertainment; saunas, spas, and game rooms have become top home trends.

“Overall, people are spending more money than ever making their homes their castles as the pandemic progresses,” said Michael Kalian, Executive Director of the Seattle Home & Garden Show.

Redmond businesses to be at the show are Wolf & Wolf (a construction company), Helios Pads LLC (a handyman company), Luxury Bath of Seattle (a bathroom remodeling company), Rios Brick Pavers (a contracting company that focuses on brick patios, walkways, and driveways), and Stellarvision (an interior design company).

Kirkland-based businesses that will be at the Seattle Home & Garden show are Awnings by Design NW (a company that focuses on awnings), Chapman Mortgage (a mortgage loaner), Nana Wall Systems (a company that focuses on folding and sliding glass doors), Rain City Exteriors (a company that specializes in interior and exterior painting, roofing, gutters, and decks), and Zerorez of Puget Sound (a carpet cleaning company).

What to expect

The Seattle Home & Garden Show will feature several displays and booths for events.

The “Yard to Table” is a 6,000 square foot educational community garden that will showcase the latest trends in urban and hobby gardening, urban farming, and homesteading. It will also incorporate live small farm animals and will have topics ranging from beekeeping to raising chickens.

“The Mini-O” is a miniature backyard office with full climate control features such as air conditioning to an electric fireplace heater. “The Mini-O” is made to be easily relocated.

There will also be a 20 foot by 80-foot game room exhibit with the latest in game room equipment.

An onsite computer gaming event, LANFest, will be present for those of all ages.

The show will feature a fundraiser for affordable housing, called Swim/Bike/Run for Habitat. Those in attendance can sign up to compete in swimming, biking, and running, and proceeds will go towards the nonprofit, Habitat for Humanity.

Daily “Meet the Experts” seminars covering interior and exterior home improvement topics will also be available.

Know before you go

Seattle Home & Garden Show attendees can register to return to the event for a second day for free. Furthermore, all attendees will receive a one-year subscription of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine with the purchase of a ticket.

The event will take place from Feb. 26 to March 6 at the Lumen Field Event Center. Saturday and Sunday event hours run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and event hours from Monday to Friday will run from 11:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

Visitors will have ample parking spaces at the Lumen Field Event Center Parking Garage and the Mariners Garage. Those who purchase electronic tickets will be able to pay $5 for parking.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 60 years and older, $9 for military members, $3 for juniors ages 7 to 15, and those under 7 years of age will be admitted for free
